Spring Gear Swap
The annual Spring Gear Swap will take place Saturday, April 22, 2017, at the Houghton High School multi-purpose room, from 10 am until 12:30 pm. All outdoor gear welcome, including bikes, skis, snowboards, kayaks, racks, camping equipment and climbing gear.
April 21st, 2017 Friday - Drop off time 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM.
April 22nd, 2017 Saturday - Drop off time 9:00 AM to 9:45 AM
April 22nd, 2017 Saturday - Doors open/sale starts 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM
April 22nd, 2017 Saturday - Pick up unsold items and/or payment 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM
The 13th annual Spring Gear Swap sale is a great place to recycle all sorts of outdoor gear by buying and/or selling. Buyers find great bargains on used gear. Sellers pay just 15% commission per item for the convenience, with a maximum of $50 commission per item regardless of price.
The gear swap usually features cross country skis, alpine skis, snowboards, a good selection of ski boots and poles, a variety of children's and adult bikes along with bike tools and parts, car racks, camping gear like tents and backpacks, a big selection of outdoor clothing, sometimes kayaks, canoes and boating equipment, soccer cleats, ice skates and other items that help us play outside and enjoy life in the Keweenaw.
