Ski Tigers Groups
The Ski Tigers coach coordinator and coaches will assign Ski Tigers to groups, based on evaluations from last season and/or talking with parents, as necessary. Older skiers that are new to the sport will learn the basics and move to the appropriate group. Ski Tigers has something to offer for all ages and abilities.
Youth Program (Color Groups)
Beginning in early January, the younger skiers meet each Saturday from 11-12, forming Color Groups with similar abilities. These groups are led by volunteer coaches. The goal of this program is to enjoy the great outdoors, companionship and instruction. Parents are more than welcome to ski along.
Development (Devo) Team
This group skis on Tuesday, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Skiers who move up from the yellow group and like to ski fast and far, with an eye toward racing in middle/high school, will love development team. The focus is on balance, agility, and technique, and of course having fun. They usually attend 4-6 races.
Competition (Comp) Team
The comp team meets Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. This group is geared toward skiers who like to race. They attend 8-10 races. Racers can choose to train for the high school state meet or to qualify for Junior Nationals.
Adventure Group
The Adventure Group is for skiers ages 13-18 who enjoy skiing, but aren't necessarily interested in racing on the Comp or Devo teams. This group practices on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturdays. It 'also a good option for a teen that wants to learn how to cross country ski - no prior ski experience necessary.
Beginner Adult Ski Sessions
Ski Tigers is excited to offer Beginner Adult ski sessions. Registration is required.
Ski with Style - Adult Intermediate Ski Sessions
Sage (a Ski Tigers alumna) will be leading adult skiers with some nordic skiing background and fitness abilities. The recurring sessions are from 5-6:30pm and require advance registration.
